Privacy Policy

In one line: the NotebookLM Manager extension
does not collect, store or share any
personal information or browsing data. Everything runs 100% in your browser.
Section 1
Data collection (100% local)
NotebookLM Manager is designed to run entirely in your browser, on the client side. This
means that:
- We do not collect any personal data (such as name, email or IP address).
- We do not read or store the content of your documents, sources or chats inside
NotebookLM.
- Groups and sources are mapped in real time, in your own browser's memory, and
that map is gone as soon as the tab is closed.
Section 2
Communication with external servers
To keep things as safe and private as possible:
- The extension has no server of its own.
- No data is sent to us or to third parties.
- The extension makes no external network requests — it does not need the internet
to work, except to load the Google Symbols icons, which the browser caches.
Section 3
Required permissions
The extension only asks for the permissions it strictly needs to work:
Access to notebooklm.google.com and notebook.google.com
Only needed to read the page structure and render the management sidebar. Google uses
both addresses for NotebookLM. No content is read or sent anywhere.
Browser storage (storage)
Saves your extension settings and a few small usage counters (for example, to know when
to show the review invitation). This data stays in Chrome's own storage and may be synced across your
devices by Chrome Sync, if you use it. Nothing is sent to us.
Section 4
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how the
extension works or legal requirements. Any change will be published on this same page, with the updated date at
the top.
